Dakhil sees more GPA-5 achievers

Although the pass rate in this year's Dakhil examinations increased to 88.47 percent from last year's 83.23 percent, the pass rate in SSC (vocational) exams dropped slightly from 81.37 percent to 80.69 percent.
However, more students under madrasa and technical education boards have secured highest grades (GPA-5) this year.
A total of 2,73,065 students took the Dakhil examinations under Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board. Of them, 2,41,572 became successful.
This year, a total of 13,436 madrasa students secured GPA-5 against the last year's figure of 12,756. Of them, 9,986 are male students and 3,450 are female.
The pass rate of male and female students under this board is 89.98 percent and 86.69 percent respectively.
Of the 91,170 SSC (vocational) examinees under Bangladesh Technical Education Board, 73,566 students passed.
A total of 3,524 students achieved GPA-5 this year while the number was 1,205 last year. Among them, 2,358 are male students and 1,166 are female.
The pass rate of male and female students under this board is 80.28 percent and 81.77 percent respectively.
