Number of all-pass schools shoots up

Along with breaking all records, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results showed that the number of institutions under 10 education boards with cent percent pass rate has increased significantly to 3, 377 from last year's 2,017.
Also, the number of institutions with zero percent pass rate has halved from last year's 28.
Of the successful institutions, 330 are in Dhaka, 289 in Rajshahi, 130 in Comilla, 199 in Jessore, 45 in Chittagong, 118 in Barisal, 121 in Sylhet and 231 in Dinajpur.
Under Madrasa Board, the number of institutions securing 100 percent success rose to 1,801 from 1,150 of last year.
This year, a total of 113 institutions achieved 100 percent pass under the Technical Education Board.
The number of schools having 100 percent success rate in eight general education boards increased to 1,463 this year from 750 last year.
The education minister said the number of institutions with cent percent pass rate rising and with zero pass rate falling shows an achievement for the education sector.
The number of institutions having 100 percent pass rate has increased in seven general education boards except Chittagong.
Under Rajshahi board, the number of institution with cent percent pass rate has increased to 289 from 76, while the number rose to 231 from 48 in Dinajpur, 121 from 42 in Sylhet and 118 from 18 in Barisal.
All general education boards except Dhaka have no institution with zero percent pass rate.
One institution under Dhaka board has failed to produce any successful student while nine institutions under Madrasa board and four institutions under Technical Education Board could not secure a single success.
Comilla board has seen no educational institutions going with zero percent pass rate for the fifth consecutive year.
